Affecting eight out of every ten people back pain is on of the most common known medical conditions. Back pain can range from a dull constant ache to a sharp sudden pain. Coming on suddenly, acute back pain can last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. If your back pain lasts for more then three months it is classified as chronic back pain.
Although quite discomforting, back pain usually only lasts a few days and taking over the counter pain relievers and anti-inflammatory medication along with resting can help to speed up the process. It is not recommended to stay in bed longer then 2 days as this will often make the problem worse.
If after three days your pain does not improve, consult with your health care provider to see what the underlying issue for your back pain is. Following any injury where you incur back pain injury you should get medical attention to make sure that you do not injure your back further through ignorance of your injuries.

- Bulging Disc
